Are you officially affiliated with Western University?+
No. UWO Tutors is an independent student tutoring platform and is not affiliated with or endorsed by Western University.
Which subjects do you cover?+
We currently cover 29 first- and second-year courses across economics, math and calculus, statistics, biology, chemistry, physics, computer science, psychology, and business, with new tutors joining every term.
How are tutors selected?+
Every tutor is a current Western student or graduate who earned top marks in the exact courses they teach, and each one is interviewed before joining the platform.
Are sessions online or in person?+
Both. Most in-person sessions happen on or near Western's campus (Weldon and Taylor libraries are popular spots), and online sessions run over video call with a shared whiteboard.
Do tutors complete assignments for students?+
No. We help students understand concepts and improve their work, but we do not complete graded work on behalf of students.
What if my course is not listed?+
You can select 'Other / Not listed' on the booking form and tell us what course you need help with, and we'll let you know within a day if we can match you.
How do I pay?+
Payment details are confirmed after your booking request is accepted. There is nothing to pay up front, and the free consultation is exactly that: free.
